DSP Basics

DSP Basics is FREE (previously available on our bores.com website since 1998 but now on our online training site) allows access as a guest. It introduces some basics of Digital Signal Processing including:

sampling, aliasing, reconstruction and quantization
correlation and convolution
frequency analysis and Fourier transforms
spectral resolution, leakage and windowing

The book takes a practical approach and does not assume a lot of prior knowledge.

This book has been incredibly popular for many years, and remains an excellent first step. To become a real practitioner in DSP you really should follow one of our more recent DSP online books

These deal in more depth both with practical engineering questions and with some of the more difficult concepts and ideas of DSP that are often misunderstood.
